Hertford and Hitchin Area Meeting / members and attenders / Access Request

Requesting Access to Restricted Areas

Some parts of our website contain sensitive information, such as people's names and contact details.  These parts are only accessible with logon information.  If you are known to the Area Meeting and its Local Meetings, you can request the access information by sending an email, which must come from your address, to webaccess at hhq.org.uk. Your email doesn't need a subject or content, but you might find the reply more easily if you use a subject such as "HHQ access".
- If your email address is in the "recognition" list, you should receive a reply with the access information.
- If your email address is not in the "recognition" list, you should receive a reply advising you how to proceed.
You should receive a reply fairly soon, usually within minutes, but occasionally it takes longer.

If your email address has changed, you will need to tell us your new email address before you can send for the access information.

Your email address will be added to a list of addresses to be informed when the the access information changes.  If you don't want your email address to be in this list, send your request to web at hhq.org.uk.  You can also include this in your request for the access information.

The Clerk or Correspondent of your Local Meeting should also have the information which will give you access to the restricted areas on this website.

To inform us of a change of email address, or to ask us to add you to the "recognition" list, send an email to web at hhq.org.uk, quoting:
    - your name
    - your Meeting
    - your normal email address
.
Adding or changing an entry on the "recogntion" list is not an automatic system, your request will be manually handled, so there will be a delay which may be a day or two.

The system will allow three incorrect attempts at entering the access information before cancelling the access attempt (you are not blocked from trying again).

Depending on location and document type, you may need to enter the access information more than once to get to a specific document.

Some further points:
- the webaccess email address is only for requests for the access information
- you can send new requests to webaccess if you forget the access information or you think it has changed
- don't use old replies to generate new requests, it won't work
- don't use "reply-to", it doesn't work in this case
